How to Customize a Site with Resource Packages
With resource packages, you can group your resources in a separate package and Sitefinity will automatically apply this package to your templates based on their naming. A package can contain stylesheets, scripts, images, and even whole layout templates.
Feather comes with Bootstrap 4 resource package, installed out-of-the-box and added to your project. Even though you can have several packages with different package names, we recommend that when you want to customize your site use the Bootstrap resource package.
To customize your site to add new custom css, scripts, and images do the following:
- Create a new folder under ~/ResourcePackages/Bootstrap4/assets/[YourFolderName], and follow the same folder structure as ~/ResourcePackages/Bootstrap4/assets/dist to manage your files
2. Reference all new resources in the template that your pages are going to use. Custom references (Plugins, custom css files, etc.) must be referenced in the new Template using the Sitefinity widget JavaScript /CSS.
