Sitefinity File Manager

Previously, we had permission to view and manage the files from the backend file manager but in Sitefinity 14.4 we don't have those permissions. So, we must enable them as required as follows.

To enable/disable file upload:

Use web.config setting under <appSettings> section to control if file manager is in read only mode or not.

<add key="sf:fileExplorer:isReadOnly" value="true"/>

To whitelist files to be managed via File Manager:

  1. Go to Administration -> Backend Pages
  2. Then to Administration -> Tools -> File Manager and edit content.

3. In the textbox "AllowedFileTypes" put in the types of files that will be available and save changes.

4. Finally, publish the page.
